Product Description
SAS is a sodium asphalt sulfonate made water soluble by a unique sulfonation process. It is a versatile, total mud conditioner that stabilizes shale formations, significantly increases lubricity and lowers HTHP filtration volume. SAS enhances filter cake properties in both oil and water based drilling fluids.

Application/Function
SAS can be used in most water based and all oil based and synthetic drilling fluids.

Recommended Treatment
Conventional hopper when chlorides do not exceed 60,000 ppm. When adding to high salinity systems, SAS with fresh water by adding through chemical barrel may give best results.

Safe Handling Recommendations
Utilize normal precautions for employee protection when handling chemical products. Use of standard PPE is recommended for employee comfort and safety. See Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) prior to use.
Package and Storage
25kg bags (topical triple bag and inner with polyethylene film bag) or according to customer’s requirement. Avoid high-intensity extreme pressure and prolonged exposure to strong sunlight. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flames.
